A LO about how we found our ds'name. I know it sounds crazy, but he was named after a street sign! Journaling is on tag under photo, and says “Evan, this photo of you is such a treat! I know it sounds silly, but a McDonald's ice cream cone, just like this one, is part of the story of how we picked your name! Yes, it's true. Auntie Patricia came to visit just before you were born, and she came shopping with Mommy for last minute baby things. On our way to the mall so we stopped for a McDonald's ice cream cone. Then, as we arrived at the mall, Auntie Patricia saw the exit sign to Evan's Avenue, which caused her to say: ”What about Evan, if it's a boy?“ Mommy loved it, and asked Auntie Patricia to write it down so we didn't forget it. There was nothing in the car to write on except for a McDonald's napkin from our ice cream treat. So Auntie Patricia wrote out your name on the McDonald's napkin, and we took it home to Daddy, who loved it as well.Evan was, and still is, the perfect name for you, and every time you eat a McDonald's ice cream cone, I think of this story! P.S. On this day, you were already on your way to being a big brother; we just didn't know it yet! Just one more reason I love this photo! This LO is inspired by the AL DW2006 calendar, July 31st, disguise a distracting element in a photo by placing and embellishment over it. I hid the (wrong) date on the photo in the lower left corner. This LO also qualifies for the weekly challenge - use tools you have but haven't been using. I actually set eyelets on this one, as well as used my heat embosser to emboss the letters in the word ”name".Supplies: Scraptivity July 06 kit for almost everything - Prism cs, pp and chipboard aplphas by WRMK, BG alpha stickers and chipboard tag, AL MOD epoxy letters on Li'l Davis circle frames, MM eyelets, ribbons by WRMK, Scraptivity and M's, Scraptivity Gelatins stamps. TFL! Holly A.
