This LO was inspired by April 28th - us a colour combination of brick red, yellow and brown. I hand-cut the title “Grannie's”. And only one exacto-knife cut - didn't bleed much! The “love” was die cut on a machine at LSS. The journaling tells the story of how my mom came to help out when our girls were born, and she ended up in the hospital with pneumonia and then diagnosed with Crohn's. That time is like a blur for me now - I was still nursing the girls and hadn't even had anyone babysit them, and suddenly I had to find a sitter for them every afternoon so I could go to the hospital and support my mom. I was truly blessed that it all fell together and my mom pulled through OK. She was 78 yrs old at the time, almost 81 now. Not the greatest picture, technically speaking, but I love it. Mom had just been released from hospital, and you can see my dd hanging on to her hospital bracelet. Everything here is from the Scraptivity Feb.06 kit except the primas, MM brads, Wild Asparagus3 circle phrase “precious” and one epoxy sticker “SWAK” from CI, mixed in with the buttons. TFL!
