I made this for Scrapvivor Week #3 Bling it On.

It scanned a little blurry due to the stars being kind of raised. I tried 3 different times but this is the best of all the scans.

The stars I punched from chipboard and covered in glitter. I popped up the 2 bigger stars. The title I had from Making Memories that is silver metal. I hand stitched all the different pieces of cardstock and added the glitter in between the red and white blocks as well as added the glitter to the title. I had those silver stars forever and added the red gems.

Journaling:Holidays are all about tradition, at least thats how I was brought up. When I was younger we usually did a BBQ and would occasionally go see a firework show but the older I got we started making July 4th a big deal. When dad and I started having children, July 4th was spent at Lou Anns house swimming and BBQing. As you all got a little older we started our own tradition. It started with buying outfits with USA logos, flags, or just USA colors on them. Then we added cool hats every year. I love that tradition. We would ALWAYS do a huge BBQ with all the works and of course we ended with our own fireworks and homemade ice cream. This year we went to our first block party on Horn St. but still came home for our fireworks display and ice cream. What a fun time of year this is for all of us.

This was so fun to do. Thanks again for another great challenge.
