I don’t remember when or where I got my little grey cable knit hat. It was warm, covered my ears and looked really cool on me. The photo of Jimmy & me in the snow in Deer Park, must have been in 1973 as that was the year it snowed three times and it was after I had returned from California when Paul went to Vietnam. I loved that hat! Obviously Cheryl loved it too as that is her in it lounging on Mama’s and Daddy’s bed. The hat stayed with me a long time. It went with me when I moved to Houston; then in 1986 to Arlington when Tony & I moved there. In 1999, I took it with me to Scotland and when we left Moffat, I couldn’t find it. I even went back into the B&B and looked for it, but alas, it was gone! I think it must have fallen out of the car when we were in town. I have yet to find a hat even remotely like it. Today, I found a Snow Shop on the internet that has a beanie very much like mine. I may just have to buy it!
