I finished my combo card for Daria's challenge and used 3 patterned papers. The combo includes a heart I hand-crocheted and I did some paper piercing. The heart is attached with glue dots and a mini brad that looks like a button.I attended a Scrapbook Expo yesterday and saw Kiwi Lane demo their Designer Templates. Their sample layouts and cards were gorgeous. I have way too much pp and thought these templates would help me make good use of it. It was fun to play with them today. I think they helped me combine pp.And What Was I Thinking when I bought and then saved the Tsukineko Dauber Duos? Just little heads of ink, not much bigger than a pencil eraser on each side of a stick. I'm pretty sure I was thinking stencilling … I almost got rid of them because I have a lot of ink pads, and the Dauber Duos are kind of juicy. They have been rolling around my ink drawer for years. Do they make them anymore? Well, let me tell you I'm glad I hung on to them! They were just what I needed to ink the clear holly stamp in two colors. The ink worked wonderfully on clear stamps and the applicators were small enough to ink the berries without the leaves.Don't Stress - All paper edges were inked with Distress ink on a craft sheet with Tim's foam and applicator handle.Stamps : Stampin Up - Noel Inkadinkado Cool Christmas set - holly and inside sentiment.Ink : Distress - Barndoor, Peeled Paint Versamark (noel) Tsukineko Dauber Duos Wintergreen (holly) Martha Stewart red (berries) Ranger Archival Jet Black - inside sentimentEP : Sparkle n Sprinkle Red Apple Detail Opaque (noel)Fibers : I think it was Knit Cro Sheen (sp?) on the heart. Martha Stewart red baker's twine.Border Punch - Martha StewartPP : scrapsI was disappointed with the embossed Noel. The EP said opaque on the jar, so I was hoping the red would show up better over the green paper. At first I thought I over heated it, but I hadn't because when I touched part of it, it brushed off! You can see how it is darker over the green and a nice apple red over the white dots. Bummer! Should have tested on a scrap!TFL!
