This card is for Anna-Karin's SOF13 Challenge, Stencil Time: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/mb.asp?cmd=display&forum_id=22&thread_id=3256583 [twopeasinabucket.com]
The stencil was an impulse buy at the last stamp show I attended. One of Judikins' sample cards was displayed near the check-out, and I couldn't resist. This is the first time I've used it. The stencil is 6 square inches so I was able to make two cards with the finished stenciled design.
I belatedly realized that this card will also fulfill the requirements for Sarah's A,B,C's of Stamping Challenge–something I didn't think I'd be able to do. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/mb.asp?cmd=display&forum_id=22&thread_id=3256606 [twopeasinabucket.com]
C-Crushed Olive (one of the colors of Distress Ink) D-Distress Ink E-Embossing Powder F-Flower image and stencil G-Glossy Cardstock
CARD: 3 3/4“ x 6 1/2” Judikins Black Glossy Cardstock Neenah Classic Crest, Solar White
FOCAL IMAGE: Judikins 2180H (I don't know what it's called; I couldn't find it in her catalog so it might be retired. I bought it used for 50 cents!) Versafine Onyx Black Ink Ranger Clear Superfine Embossing Powder
I used an anti-static bag over the stenciled design before stamping and embossing.
I taped the stencil down on all sides with removable tape and then applied the ink with Judikins Color Dusters using a circular motion (rouging). I dried the ink with a heat tool before stamping. (Usually, I wait for it to air dry, but it was 2am, and I wanted to finish.)
Anna-Karin, thank you for the challenge. This is the first time I've used this stencil and stamp. I'll be using them again.
Sarah, thank you for your ABC's challenge. I kept trying to make it work, and finally it did.
