I know it's April. Nonetheless, these are my cards for the March edition of the Christmas All Year Challenge. All I can say is that I started them in March. Cindi, thanks once again for the challenge. I now have five more Christmas cards made and plan to make more for the April's challenge.
These cards were CASED from cards that Godelieve Tijskens (Stamping Mathilda) and her friend, Anneke De Clerk, made in 2010. http://stampingmathilda.blogspot.com/2010/11/anneke-versus-godelieve-1.html [stampingmathilda.blogspot.com] http://somefiddlingonthekitchentable.blogspot.com/2010/11/godelieve-versus-anneke-1.html [somefiddlingonthekitchentable.blogspot.com]
A comment about the top mat on the first two cards: This is a glorious paper I bought from Paper Mojo. They call it Gilded Cork Paper, Silver. It's luscious. Their description says it best, “Paper-thin cork is painted with metallic pigment, then laminated onto a metallic paper backing. The metallic backing shows through the natural openings in the cork layer creating a wonderful interplay of textures and shine.” So the smooth sections that show up dull grey in the scan are actually shiny silver. I'm saving every leftover sliver of this stuff.
STAMPS: Magenta (trees) and Michael Strong (sentiment)
