For this Hangover Challenge, I'm doing LeighAnn's Wax Paper Challenge. Thank you for this challenge, LeighAnn.
CARD: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches Bazzill cardstock Georgia Pacific white cardstock (1/16 inch mat) Judikins Kromekote Glossy white cardstock (background) Patterned Vellum (flower) Grosgrain ribbon
BACKGROUND: Wax Paper Resist Technique Glossy cardstock Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions by Sizzix, Petals-a-Plenty Distress Inks applied with Finger Daubers (Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Festive Berries)
Before embossing the wax paper, I put it inside a folded piece of printer paper. That helps the wax paper not to tear or wrinkle too much.
I made two pieces of background (embossed and debossed sides of the wax paper). This side is from the debossed side of the wax paper; only the background received wax and resisted the ink. I need to let something on the next card dry overnight. I'll post the embossed side tomorrow.
FOCAL IMAGE: Stampendous Ruffled Bloom Unknown vellum with checkered pattern VersaMark Ink Ranger's Seafoam White Embossing Powder I mounted the flower onto some Bazzill cardstock so it would stand out from the busy background pattern. Best Creation 3D Foam Tape (to mount the flower)
