This card uses the Dryer Sheet Technique Charmaine Ikach posted on Splitcoaststampers: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/dryer_sheet_technique/ [splitcoaststampers.com]

I've posted more details on my WSW12 Challenge Blog: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/userblogpost.asp?id=61883. [twopeasinabucket.com]

The sparkle does not show up in the scan. Use your imagination to picture a subtle sparkle over the focal image, and lots of sparkle on the red mat. The white specks you see are sparkles.

CARD:
4 1/4“ x 5 1/2”
Bazzill cardstock
Judikins MatteKote, white
Personal Stamp Exchange (PSX) image
Tombow Markers–025 (yellow); 133, 195, 245, 249 (greens); 879, 942, 947 (browns), 847 (red)
Used dryer sheet
Xyron machine
Nestabilities Small Labels
Art Accentz Transparent Microfine Sparklez Glitter
Embellishment (broken piece of polymer clay, bought on eBay)

RED MAT (made during WSW12):
Carnival Vellum, 80-lb. cover, red
Cornish Heritage Farm Paint Spots Backgrounder
Tsukineko's Essential Glue Pad (for stamping)
Art Accentz Crimson Glitter

I used the markers direct-to-rubber and stamped on MatteKote cardstock. After stamping the image, I put it through the Xyron machine face down so that the image was completely covered with adhesive. I smoothed the used dryer sheet over the entire piece.

I die cut and embossed the image after attaching the dryer sheet but before adding the glitter. I poured on some glitter and rubbed it in. (I mostly used a teflon bone folder instead of my fingers since the last time I did this technique, I ended up with lots of strings that had separated from the dryer sheet and had to be cut off.) I brushed off the excess glitter and attached the embellishment.

TFL.
