I started this card by looking for something I could stamp on the piece I made for Anna-Karin's Cling Wrap Texture Challenge. It turned out be be a good background for this Magenta cat image which led to the glossy black mat. That made it qualify for Anne's Black Cat Matte Challenge and Sarah's Combo Challenge. Thank you all for the challenges.CARD:4 1/8“ x 7”Base–Bazzill cardstockMat–Judikins Black Glossy cardstockFocal image stamped on 140-lb. hot press watercolor paperCLING WRAP TECHNIQUE:140-lb. hot press watercolor paperTalons Opaque and Transparent WatercoloursCling WrapI brushed the paper with water before I added any paint. As I painted, I used a lot of water because the watercolor paper absorbed a lot of the moisture, and I needed the paint to be wet when I put on the cling wrap. I really like the way the two pieces I made came out. On the one I used, I deliberately went for a hills and sky look. That third scan is a piece I began and didn't like. I blotted it thinking to add more paint, but I liked the soft look and the impression the paper towel left so I kept it. FOCAL IMAGE:Magenta stamp (23.076K)My embossing powder just didn't want to work today. Could it be the weather? This happens once in a while.First I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed it with Ranger's Clear Superfine EP. Some parts of the image didn't emboss at all. Then I used a Stampamajig to be able to stamp the image again. This time I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger's Super Fine Detail Black EP. It was better but still very uneven. Third, I touched up just the cat with a Versamark Pen and embossed in black again a couple of times. It's not great, but that's all I could do.Thank you for the challenges. I think I'll repeat this card when the weather isn't so humid. I know that I can get a good embossed image with this image and the ink and EP I used since I've done it before.TFL. Daria
