Project - SOF11 Fly-By Coffee Filter Challenge

Cindi, thanks for this challenge. I've never stamped on a used coffee filter before even though I have saved them only to discard them unused. Also, this is the first time I've used this stamp that I like so much.

CARD:
4 3/4“ x 5 3/4”
Bazzill cardstock
Black Ink speckled mat

FOCAL IMAGE:
Uptown Rubber Stamps – Native Carving
StazOn Timber Brown Ink
Used coffee filter – I soaked it in some left over coffee so it would have more coloring.
Dark brown twine – off a roll at the store

The hardest part about making this simple card was distressing the edges of the coffee filter. I tried a regular distressing tool, but it didn't have much effect on the thin paper. What did work was those gray Fiskars spring-loaded scissors. I opened those up and put the coffee filter in the V where the blades met, and that roughed up the edges.

TFL.
Daria

ETA: I think I'm going to have to disassemble this and straighten it out. I hadn't realized it was skewed so much.
