This is the last week. I almost don't want to post this knowing that's it the last time. Jan, thank you so much for this challenge; it was just what I needed to get me back into the craft room, and I've enjoyed it immensely. This week I tried something new (stamping with blending solution) and something old (polished stone), but using all Adirondack Lights Alcohol Inks–something I wanted to try out.Tags are glossy cardstock. I reinforced the hole with a clear reinforcer on the back of the tag. The embellishments were attached with Glue Dots.Tag #1I used Adirondack Lights Alcohol Inks. First I applied Juniper, Willow, and Aqua. I wasn't completely satisfied so I added Cloudy Blue and Blending Solution. That really made a huge difference. I loved the effect. I stamped my new Hero Arts flower with Versafine Onxy Black Ink and embossed it with Ranger's Clear Superfine Embossing Powder. I didn't want to cover it up with embellishments so I put a small copper and turquoise metal button at the bottom.Tag #2I used Latte, Rust, and Mushroom Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution to make the polished stone background. I inked Judikins Architecture Background with Distress Embossing Ink and then tapped the stamp into some Blending Solution I had squirted onto the craft sheet. If you look at the last picture, you can see my learning curve. The first tag shows the results when I stamped onto the tag and left it on for too long. The second time I only left it on for about six seconds (counting one thousand one, one thousand two, etc.). The third one, I stamped off onto a piece of paper towel before stamping the tag. I only left the stamp in place for a count of six (forget the one-thousand-one stuff!), and it came out the best. I discarded the first two (saved the flower) and made another one.I embellished them with a cool flower I found in my stash. I don't know who gave it to me, but I thank you for it. I added an antique metal button and some SU Linen Thread. This has been a great challenge. Thank you to everyone who sent me their beautiful tags. My mail has been much more exciting lately! I have a ring full of terrific tags that will remind me of the different techniques we've learned, and they are simply wonderful.TFL. Daria
