Nora and I had a blast with embossing paste and glitter yesterday at a workshop by Georgia Sommers held at Jazzy Crafts in Castro Vallery, CA. I am in love. The cards turned out so beautifully, and they were easy to do.

Dreamweaver Stencils and Embossing Paste
Art Institute Ultrafine Opaque Glitter
Prisma Glitter (not sure of source)
Beautiful shimmer paper and cardstock
Swarovski flatback crystals on the Joy and Bells card (not provided at the workshop)

Pine Cones Card: Colorbox Fluid Chalk & Memento(?) inks covered with Translucent Embossing Paste and sprinkled with a bit of Prisma Glitter.

Bells: Georgia had already applied the embossing paste and glitter to this one so that it would be completely dry before class started. All we did was scrape away some of the glitter to reveal the Metallic Silver Embossing Paste below the Canadian Blue Opaque Ultrafine Glitter.

Snowflake: Black Matte Embossing Paste, Luminarte Polished Pigments (Luster Pearl & Autumn Skies)Memory Makers Gems (?).

Joy Card: This one is just ultrafine glitter and Barbara Trombley's Art Glitter Sticky Paper.

If you want to get started with this, I highly recommend taking a workshop if you're anything like me. I watched demos and a DVD; I bought supplies. That was a couple of years ago, and I never touched any of it. Now I know I will. TFL. Daria

Gram-pea has written articles giving instructions on how to do this. Check out Quiet Fire Designs for one of them.
