I've wanted to make cards with the mini-labels forever, but the thought of placing all of those tiny pieces and having them come out straight was a deterent. I think Ethel may have posted a tip for easy placement, and I also read about it on another board. It works! Thank you so much for this tip.First card: I brayered the labels with Antique Linen Distress Ink and stamped a Judikins bg image in Walnut Stain Distress ink. When it was dry, I used “Magic Cover Self Adhesive Decorative Covering” manufactured by Kittrich. It's removable. I placed it on the stamped mini-labels, adhesive side down. Then I rolled it back off carefully making sure that the labels had adhered to the adhesive. Then I placed it on the cardstock with the labels sticky side down. I rolled it back off again, this time making sure the labels adhered to the cardstock. It worked beautifully. Then I trimmed the cardstock. The second card: This one was actually the first one–my experiment. I sponged Antiquities Rose Quartz and Verdigris inks on the labels. My first bg stamp was Judikins dots and dotted flowers. It didn't show up at all as a pattern, but the dots looked cool. Then I tried a Me & Carrie Lou's Queen Anne's Lace. I wanted to emboss it in white (a la Kristy), but I don't have white EP. I can't believe it. Instead, I stamped with Brillance Platinum White and clear embossed it. It didn't show up. Well, if you tilted the card, you could kind of see it. Since this was my experiment card, I decided to keep going. I stamped the same image again using Distress Embossing Ink and Distress Tattered Rose EP. I stamped it slightly off from the original image. IRL it looks kind of cool. I doubt that you'll be able to see it. I wanted to use a different blue on the card (the same one that I used as a matting on Card #3, but there wasn't any more. I searched everywhere. I even went to the local SB store. Too bad. It looked perfect. Important Note: It was a bit difficult to remove the Magic Cover from the embossed image. Some of the EP came away intact, and I left it that way. I almost didn't bother to remove the labels from the sheet they came on. The distress EP got into the white areas, and it looked like grout. You can probably see a few labels that aren't perfect. I had to place them by hand. I don't know how you guys do that! The third card: This card scanned much brighter than it really is. The card itself is the softest of Bazzill's pinks. I used Antiquities Claret & Topiary on the bg this time; they are slightly darker colors than the ones in card #2. The stamp is Magenta, stamped in Versafine Ocean Blue.Cardstock is Bazzill and unknown. I bought the Magic Cover at Staples, I think. It was in the section with book covers. TFL. DariaQuestion Added: I could only find removable labels. Is there any such thing as permanent mini-labels?I just found the Magic Cover at M's right below the tape runners.
