Today's the last day for the challenge so I wanted to encourage everyone to play. I haven't even had my first cup of coffee this morning! I wanted to get this posted.

Last night I made some backgrounds using the salt technique that Glinda (Dreis1) posted. I brayered a spectrum dye ink pad on glossy white cs. I sprinkled it with Kosher salt and misted it with water from a bottle with a very fine spray. Then I walked away so I wouldn't ruin it by being impatient. When it was completely dry, I brushed off the salt. Then I rubbed it off with a paper towel. Then I tried the Squeegee by Tsukineko. All three methods worked, but I wanted to play with my Squeegee. It worked the best–got off every single speck of salt.

This morning I made the card. I wish I could remember who makes this stamp because I absolutely love it. I'm so glad I tried stamping the image on scrap paper before I put it on the cs. It's new and didn't take the ink well. I used an eraser on it and cleaned it again. Then it worked fine. I also discovered a flaw when I stamped on the scrap paper; one part is too low to ink and wouldn't stamp. I had to apply the ink separately to that section and really lean into it to get it to stamp.) I used a brayer with Nick Bantock Lamp Black for the image, and Adirondack Mountain Lake for the background. The black cs is SU, and the green is Bazzill.

The second post shows some of the other pieces I made with the salt technique. The solid colors are Adirondack, and the others are Kaleidacolor. TFL. Daria
