This is for my stash challenge group, this week we had to do antiquing on a layout. I think I went a little overboard here! Sanded the edges of the papers, then inked them, then smeared paint on the edges of the cardstock. Wanted to capture some feelings I had about a moment with my younger DS last year. Journaling reads: “There are certain moments that you wish you could hold onto forever. This was one of those moments. We were at Aunt Margie's birthday party, and you were having a blast, running around and playing with all of the other kids. You ran up to me, smiling, all hot and sweaty, your pink cheeks a startling contrast to your olive drab tee-shirt. You looked so happy, and for that moment, everything was right with your little world. When I think of what I wish for you, I come back to that day, that moment. I wish for you the uncomplicated happiness, the pure, unadulterated joy of life that you exuded on that perfect September afternoon. I love you, little boy.” Patterned paper here is Scrapping Solutions, all scraps from an 8x8 album I did; tags and rub ons are Chatterbox; brads and paint are MM; fibers are Frazzles; watch shape is QK; and font is CK Easy Goin'.
