This is for a stash challenge I'm in, the challenge was to use a cutting tool that we hadn't used in 3 months. I used an OLD filmstrip punch to make the border! Cardstock is Bazzill, filmstrip frame is Karen Russell Narratives, most everything else is MM, font is 2Peas Chestnuts. Journaling reads: “Where does the time go? I ask myself that question almost every day. When I look back, it truly seems like one minute Brandon was a newborn, the next he was toddling around, then I turned my back and suddenly he was in kindergarten, and then I looked away for a minute and now he's ten. He's ten. But I feel like I have a second chance with Brian. Another chance to pay more attention to every stage he goes through, to revel in the cute things he says and does, to listen to him laugh and try, really try, to imprint that sound into my brain so that I never forget it. Another chance to sneak into his room while he's sleeping and drink in the details of him – the pudgy hands, the soft hair, the skinned knees. I wish I could vow not to let these precious days of early childhood pass so quickly with Brian, but I can't. So instead, I vow to try to see Brian and everything that he is with a new perspective and a heightened awareness, to look at him every single day with new eyes.”
