Thanks so much for your generous compliments. Sam's Mom, I took some yellow Making Memories Acrylic Paints and brushed it onto my green cardstock with a thick bristled paint brush. I used a sticker by Tumblebeasts and placed it over chalked brown cardstock to make it appear crackled and weathered!
Thanks girls for taking time to look at my layouts and post your comments!

This is sooooo awesome. I just adore it. Right into my favorites. What did you do to the green and brown cardstock? Sand it, whitewash it, or something?? Do tell!!
From the moment I saw the cover of the June, 2004 issue of "Creating Keepsakes" by Renee Villalobos-Campa, I fell in love with it's layout, and knew that I had to scraplift it! Used Bazzill Textured Cardstock, Buttons by Making Memories and Tumblebeasts Stickers. I don't have a sewing machine, so I took a ruler and white gel pen and tried to mimic the zig zag as well as, straight across stitches! Fonts: P22 Cezanne and Times New Roman Journaling: Alex, you have always had such a special place in my heart. This is one of my favorite pictures of you. It was taken March 23, 1997 at Alta Ski Resort in Utah. All you ever have to do to melt my heart, is to look up at me with your beautiful brown eyes, and I become like putty in your little hands! Thanks for taking time to look!
