I wet the cardboard, inked and distressed it to lose its stiffness. THen as it was drying.. I pulled it a bit to give it a more leathery look. Then I stamped on it using DOnna Salazar Designs stamp. ADded to distressed pattern papers and layered with a homemade flower and ribbon for a pretty accent.
