ok. theraputic layout ahead. We have hit the rough part of summer vacation..the “I'm bored” and cranky part is upon us..lol So I threw together this page last night to try and peel myself off the walls, lol it is busy…chaotic, and totally fitting of the mood…journaling reads:The truth behind this layout is that about a half an hour ago, Drew got pelted in the face by an ice bucket, (compliments of a cat fight with Cole) Brenna spilled yet another bottle of nail polish and shed more than a few tears over the tragic event, and Cole is refusing to read any more books for summer reading and has declared that he has learned all he needs to learn anyway. (insert stomping foot and pouting here) The dog shredded yet another edition of the evening paper, and in roughly ten minutes there will inevitably be a major brawl between some combination of the three of you over who gets to watch what on the television. At this rate..I am on the verge of locking myself in the bathroom until you graduate high school.Don’t get me wrong, I love having you around, and I love getting to spend the summer days playing and enjoying the time off from the school year routine, but there comes a point in every summer vacation when you know you have hit your limit of fun, and then the trouble starts. Suddenly the ball games aren’t nearly as fun, the dance classes are a pain in the rear, and the bickering and fighting and whining levels increase because someone is always bored. I am pretty sure that we have officially hit that stage, and quite honestly, I think we are all ready for the back to school process to begin. We thrive on structure and schedules, and as hard as I try to keep us on one, we seem to be failing miserably at it this week. So in an attempt to keep things real, and remember the good with the bad..I offer you this page. Sandwiched in between all the sun-shiney summer memories, the truth is, we had a few rough days, too. Days when bedtime couldn’t come quick enough. The good news is..the smiles outnumber the tears, you still make me laugh, and I still love you more than ever. Just do me a favor and behave these last few days..you are just plain wearing me out.All KI, little bit of KMA dirty laundry, some seven gypsies stickers..(I LOVE those things..such down to earth phrases..lol I love the “created by your very tired mother” sticker..lol) and some ribbon…anyhoo…thanks for looking! miley
