12x15 in layout; I have been planning to do this layout for awhile too. I designed it ahead of time. I used lots of leftover letter stickers in two layers. Calvin helped write the journaling which reads: Calvin is six and half years old and has been in kindergarten for five months. His reading skills are really taking off. He practices at school by reading The Sound Books. He started with My A Book is now all the way to My S Book. These books help him learn all the letter sounds. Calvin is in the red reading group with Jose, Alanna, Donovan, and Nabeel. They sit in a group and read quietly while the teachers listen. Sometimes they practice reading special books that go in their book bag. Calvin’s favorite books to read are The Shape Book and The Bob Book series. He is reading whole sentences and sounding out longer and longer words. He enjoys being read to as well. Dad reads him Wayside Stories and Junie B. Jones while Mom read all of The Phantom Tollbooth and the start of The Hobbit.
