This is my entry into Tricia's (Bescrappin) circle journal. Her theme is “Inspire Me”…she wanted us to do something that was different/out of the norm for us. This is the first collage I've ever done. Simple as this one looks, it took me hours to finish it! It was lots of fun to do and I owe Tricia a debt of gratitude for giving me the push I needed to think outside the box. Thanks Tricia! All the pp on these pages is from the Slab III. There's a bunch of stuff from Lowe's…the skeleton key, hinges, the chain on the tag on page 2, paint chips (on the tag), cork protective pad…I covered it with gold glitter, the laminate chip on page 1 that I turned into a tag, and a wallpaper “sample”. There's ribbon and buttons and jewels, and charms. Stickers from the Life's Journey line by K & Co., collage papers by DMD and Provo Craft, a doily from the fabric store. There's a packing tape transfer on page 1, top left (the flower). I turned a color photo of myself to sepia and printed it on tan cardstock, glued it to the doily, then did a blanket stitch all the way around with embroidery floss. Inside the little book there are words on each page that describe who I am as a woman…mother, daughter, sister, chauffeur, maid, breadwinner, etc. TFL!
