My verse this week was “2 Timothy 1:12I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.” I printed this on the photo. The background pp is Colorbok Blue Wash, the white embossed cardstock I used to mat the photo has hearts on it that I ran a light blue ink pad over to. The title is xacto'd using Scriptina font. The journaling reads, “Whenever I was troubled, my Mom would tell me, “Trust in the Lord, leave all your worries to Him”. How difficult this was for me! I just couldn’t let go of my worries and fears. They would overwhelm me with anxiety to the point of despair. Feeling trapped, not knowing where to turn for help, I remembered my mother’s words. It was then that I prayed. At first I was just rambling, getting out my feelings, my self-pity, my worst fears. It felt so good just to get them off my chest! As I prayed, I realized that I was doing exactly what my Mom had advised…”Trust in the Lord, leave all your worries to Him”. Throughout my most difficult times, I have tried to remember those words. I realized that I am not the one in control of my life. The Lord has a plan for me and acts according to that plan. Knowing this and accepting it, made me feel free for the first time!” Thanks Kim for another great verse! TFL
