This layout is a celebration of one of the kindest men God ever created. I was in first grade when my grandfather passed away. I remember a quiet, gentle, gentleman who loved me and everyone around him with a stately presence.
I've had this picture for years--and have always treasured it. It was not re-colored. My grandfather still used a horse-drawn plow in the early 60s.
James Oliver Knowles. . .a simple watermelon farmer from southern Indiana. . .but he was so much more than that!
