Well, my stamp room *Was* clean, and I took pictures of it. I thought it would be a good time to post the pics since there are some ink pad storage and organization threads on the message board at the moment. :) #1 is my work area- (I have a new chair now that is much more comfy-in one pic you can see the tennis balls on the feet of my old chair- I stubbed my toes so many times that I had to put them on before I lost a little toe! Those legs were thin and sharp- ouch!) I got this 8-foot counter top at a garage sale for $16! My dad made the support on teh left-hand side with cabinet wood from the same sale. The stamp pad holder is also from a garage sale- it was sold as a matchbox car holder for $8. Pic #2 is a close-up of the ink-holder. #3 shows my computer desk and several iris carts and a couple of file cabinets full of goodies. In pic 5 you can see the little shelf on the counter- that holds boxes with cards, half-finished stuff, scraps, envelopes, embellishments etc. etc. The three-drawer cabinet was a gift from my sister- I still can't believe she parted with it! It matches her kitchen. I'm very tall, so the counter is taller than average kitchen height so I don't have to bend over all the time. My dad made a little cubby to sit on the kitchen cabinet to raise it up and give me a little extra storage. It holds my most-used pens, a roll of paper towels, colored pencils, my hammer for eyelets, tidy trays and my cat's eye pads. The top drawer holds my most-used stuff, adhesive, scissors, etc. The second drawer has my chalks, re-inkers, alcohol inks, more embellishments, tools. The bottom drawer used to hold my stamps- before I went UM! :) Now it has assorted goodies- sizzix dies, stickers, and works in progress that have been moved to the back burner. #6 is the book-case. The boxes on the right-hand page are smaller pieces of specialty sorted by color. I live close to Marco's paper- they sell off-cuts in boxes for $5- I can't afford all the specialty paper that I want, but I can get good sized scraps of it! :) The binders hold my UM stamps, lots of sponges and paintbrushes in baskets on the top- there is a marker display piece that I bought from a stamp store that went out of business. There are boxes of leafing, jars of old postage stamps, and lots of back-issues of stamping mags for inspiration. #7 is the walk-in closet. Filled to the gills with more stuff- I need to clean the closet and organize it better. My standing paper files are on the closet floor, I have drawers holding my foam stamps, beads, extra cards and envelopes, more paper, glitter, paints, ribbon, bias tape, etc etc. The shoe-holder on the door holds lots of extra goodies like my spray bottles of water, bleach, walnut ink, ink pad refresher, transfer ink, bottle of gamsol- and lots of other stuff! :) Thanks for reading this mini-novel and TFL! tina
