I love the paintings of Western Artist Maynard Dixon, his amazing colors and bold interpretation of the west that I love. The Journaling reads: “I am a child of the West. In my blood courses the spirit of my ancestors who settled the Wild Regions of Nebraska, Idaho, Utah, and Oregon. They crossed the plains in covered wagons, in handcarts, and on railroad trains. They worked as Ranchers, Farmers, Indian Interpreters. I love the remote lands they settled: Cache Valley, Utah, Magic Valley, Idaho and the Willamette Valley, Oregon. They inspire me to be Courageous, and to never fear the Unknown. They are my Heroes.” Photos are a collage of photos taken in Wyoming and Thousand Oaks, CA. St. Nicholas font.
