Yesterday we spend a couple of hours in Friendship, Maine. It's along the central Maine coast, not far from Boothbay. Several of my ancestors were born in Friendship, and we visited there to see if we could find any family members' graves in the cemetery. We did find a few relatives, which was a great treat. The harbor itself was really fun, we discovered that Friendship is one of the largest lobster fishing areas in the country. The lobster traps, bundles of rope, and colorful lobster buoys were so fun to see. I took a photo of one of the lobster boats on dry dock, and made a brush out of it. I created a subtle pattern of small boats in the background, then used a brush I made, and used as an eraser to give both the little boat pattern, and the typography, a weathered look. Benjamin Franklin & Goudy Hundred fonts.
