It Was Thirty Years Ago Today

*I reserve the right to edit this layout if necessary! It might still be a work in progress!* Well, the big 3-0 is coming up on Tuesday! I can't believe Bruce and I have been married for 30 years! Normally for our anniversary, I give him a gift that features photos through the years, or photos of the past year. But since it's our thirtieth, I thought I'd dust off the wedding slides. They have never seen the light of day, and compared with our old, faded wedding photos in the album, look pretty terrific. I wanted the whole layout to ‘feel’ like our wedding- my colors were blue & white, and the little blue & white frames are made from scanned fabric from one of the bridesmaid's dresses. (also that tiny piece of trim) I had a pretty homespun wedding reception. Can you believe the hideous tuxes the groomsmen are wearing? I used two fonts that are very Seventies to me: Thoroughgood and Helvetica. The words to Paul McCartney's “Here, There and Everywhere” are very significant. Bruce sang that to me at our wedding reception. He practiced and practiced with our musician, and surprised me with his solo. It has such nostalgic meaning! Of course, I changed the words, since this is my gift to him.
