The Tiki Garden at Disneyland is the area just inside the entrance gate located on the bridge into Adventureland. It is full of these different carvings of island gods/goddesses. I was reading a trivia book and learned some interesting history about this area of the attraction, so I noted it in my journaling, which reads:“Many of the Tiki carvings in the entrance garden are original from the opening of Disneyland. They were hand-carved by Imagineer Harper Goff in his garage. They have withstood decades of weathering, and a transplantation in 1994 when the Adventureland bridge was widened.” They include:Tangaroa - “father of all gods and goddesses” (voiced by Ravenscroft who is also the voice of Tony the Tiger, sings the Grinch song in the animated version, and is the broken head statue in the Haunted Mansion)Koro- the midnight dancerRongo - god of agriculturePele - goddess of fire and volcanoesNgendei - the earth balancerTangaroa-ru - goddess of the east windHina Kuluua - goddess of rainMaui - who roped the playful sunCS (from a 10 cent bin) floral and journaling stamps from Inque Boutique and colored with water color pencils, Title - QK Exotic Island, Tiki's - cut on the Pazzles machine at my LSS. They were some I designed and cut for my Disney Club and I had an extra set. I used them much the same as I did on my first Tiki Room LO. The entire LO was distressed with Ranger Distress Inks.
