This LO is about Fort Wilderness on Disneyland's Tom Sawyer's Island. We were there in December of 2006 and got some of these photos (a few are from the internet) to remember the fort. The captions read: The last time we saw Fort Wilderness was in December of 2006. There is a graveyard our front in membory of lost soldiers. Behind me is the old train that used to circle Frontierland. Inside the fort were some museum rooms and originally you could shoot “guns” from to lookouts on top of the Fort. The hidden journaling on the tag behind DH and the soldier reads: This cast member was waxing nostalgic the day we were there. He was supposed to work in another area of the park, but got ot don his Civil War garb for the last time adn stand guard over Fort Wilderness for the afternoon. Whith the island remake they are also going to make over the cast costumes to something more pirate like possibly. Matt, being rather nostalgic about Tom Sawyer's island, asked for a picture for posterity.PP is all Basic Gray, metal buttons are Life's Memories by K and CO., Title is on 4mm. wood distressed with Range ink and the works are White Bazzill cut with QK Khaki Classic and mini then lightly chalked. The wood is glued on, but I added 4 antque brads to look like large nails.
