This is for Pealift Challenge #22. Our inspiration LO is She Shines, which is on the right. Special thanks to KandKrose for help altering the photo of the flag. Papers are various from my stash Reminisce, Rusty Pickle, etc. Letters are Scenic Route and QK Paige lowercase. Journaling is hidden under the picture. The inspiration for this LO came to me yesterday as DH and I were out on a movie date. On the way to the theater I saw a gorgeous American flag flying in the wind and was reminded of something. I have traveled to about 15 diffeerent countries and lived in Kenya for an year. In each country you don't realize how accustomed you get to seeing that country's flag, or hearing their national anthem. Yu don't notice it too much, like we don't notice our flags here. You just take seeing them for granted. It isn't until you set foot back on American soil and walk into customs and you see the HUGE American flags hanging on the wall at JFK or LAX welcoming you into the Untied States of America, that your heart swells and you think about how beautiful and precious is that symbol of our freedoms and liberties in this wonderful natiton.
