My youngest daughter and I spent last Christmas in Montreal. It was by far the most magical and coldest Christmas I have ever experienced. We spent a great deal of time clutched together while meandering icy streets and bitterly cold breezes.
Caitlin had not seen snow fall - ever. She had been to the mountains after a snow but had never actually felt a snowflake on her face. On Christmas night as the snow began to fall heavily, we dressed up like the michelin man and frolicked about in the snow just outside the hotel. The streets were deserted and it was just the two of us dancing about. I remember thinking, as I watched her tilt her face to the dark, sparkling, fluff filled sky - that I would remember this moment for the rest of my life. She's 18 now and off to school. It may be awhile before we have the chance to explore a new city arm in arm. I believe that's why I cherish the memory of this trip with all of my heart.

This particular layout is the cover page I created for our album.
