I think I would like the bow if you put it in between the two pictures. It might give the page balance there too. Just a suggestion. I think it is really cool though. You did an awesome job! (my husband agrees with putting the bow in between the two pics..hope this helps)
Great choice w/ pp. I didn't like the bow at first but the more I look it grows on me. After I read that it was worn by both I would definately leave it on. I think everything looks great although I'm personally not crazy about the fiber on the side. I think you did a great job and I'm sure it will be thought of highly!!
I really like this a lot, I especially like the striped paper with the solid, and picking up the blue. I don't feel that the fringy stuff along the side goes with it at all. I like the bow tie...And I LOVE the CHP patch.
What a wonderful gift of love for your FIL. Great job.
Maybe put the bow tie on the top to the right of Father? it might not fit or look right there either. But if it has meaning to them then that is all that really matters. I do love the LO.
It's too bad that you couldn't make a clear display cover -- sort of like a shaker box -- at the very bottom that you could put the bow tie in, maybe with a badge or pin that would make it look like it belonged there. I would definitely remove the fiber down the left side. I hope these comments are taken in the spirit it was intended. I think it's great and I know your FIL is going to love and cherish it!
The bow tie is one that they both wore. I really couldnt find a place on the lo where I liked it. I was just gonna not have it in there, but my dh really wanted it on there. Any suggestions on where it would look better?
This is a altered canvas that I made for my fil. He and my dh took the same picture about 25 years apart. The pic at the top right is my dh at age 4 in a CHP uniform. Just like dad!
