We decided to change Justin’s pre-school because most of the kids at Farnsworth are bused in so he never sees them outside of school and no one from the neighborhood is in the program. Plus, we know that we want to send Justin to grade school at Queen of All Saints. Therefore, we saw benefit to starting him with those kids now. QAL’s program is two days a week verses Farnsworth’s five but we thought as long as he is getting socialization two days a week that is the most important thing. I interviewed him about going back to school on September 5, 2006:
Mommy: (before orientation): Are you looking forward to going back to school?
Justin: No
After orientation:
Mommy: What was your favorite thing at school today?
Justin: Gym
Mommy: What food did you like best at snack time?
Justin: Juice (He had three 5oz. cups)
Mommy: Did you like playing with the kids?
Justin: I loved playing with the kids.
Mommy: Do you like the balloon they gave you?
Justin: Yes
Mommy: Do you want to go back to school?
Justin: NO WAY!……NO WAY!!!!
