~OH HAPPY DAY~ A Day In My Life Reject (RowdyChik)

Here it is in all its simply glory! Thank you to all my friends who made those long days in bed tolerable. YOU know who YOU are & YOU know I love & treasure you so very much. Journaling Reads:August 14, 2004TODAY I am here. I am blessed. I lived. And I am thankful. Oh Happy Day!! I have been in bed for 26 days as of today. It has been almost a month since the car accident that could have ended my Life. I rolled my Montero 4 times on the highway going 65 mph when a telephone repair truck cut me off. Thankfully I was alone. The stitches in my head are healing nicely. The scars won't be too noticeable. The bruising is still pretty ferocious. I am the color of yellow highlighter in too many places. My most serious injury was to my right leg. When my vehicle landed I was straddling the gear shift. My right leg took a royal beating as my car somersaulted again and again. I have a hematoma and it has hardened down my entire calf muscle on the interior side of my leg. I am doing contrast therapy twice a day. It helps with the pain and the main goal is to reduce the size of the hematoma. I can barely walk and when I do it is incredibly painful. However, I am here today. I have friends and family that care about me. They love me. They have let me know day after day. The cards and gifts haven't stopped coming. Today was no different. Love rained down. It felt like Christmas. I am loved and that is truly all that matters. It was a happy day. Oh Happy Day!!IT AIN'T MUCH, but it is DONE!!!! My first contest! How utterly stressful @ the last minute.
