I'm thrilled that my new scrapbook room is completed (thanks to my wonderful husband and dad!) and functional. It's a small room, only 9' x 10' but it's mine, all MINE! Here's what you're looking at: #1 shot from the doorway #2 right side of my room #3 left side of the room #4 cardstock cabinet with jar of fibers on top. The saying on the wall is a rub on by TLC #5 The inside of the cardstock cabinet. It's organized by texture and manufacturer. Of course, Bazzill gets its own dedicated shelf! #6 Little bit of decoupaging going on with Basic Grey papers. The framed art is of my 4 children with a black and white newborn pic and then a recent color photo. I used Rusty Pickle chipboard letters for the initials of their names. I also hand painted the lettering underneath the photos. #7 Tilt bins that I bought from QVC. My honey suggested mounting them on melamine with the decorative cut on top. Perfect for some more rub ons (TLC and Tatouage) #8 Honey mounted a TV in there for me. I have all the channels I could ever want plus music channels so I don't need a radio. Another TLC rub on over the TV. The layout on the wall is a clipboad that I made at Archiver's #9 Clock that I copied from Creative Escape this year. I'm SO there in 2007! #10 This is how I store my chipboard alphabet. I mixed up manufacturers so that, except for vowels, each letter has its own pocket. Still had some pockets available on the bottom for misc. shapes. In case you don't recognize what the organizer is, it's a shoe organizer hung over the back of my door #11 I need my jolt of caffeine in the morning so I guess that's what inspired me to paint this on the wall. The big clip is one that I made at Archiver's and when I want to scraplift something I just attach it over my work area #12 Pretty proud of myself on this one… This is my homemade ribbon organizer! I bought the plain base at Michaels for like 2 bucks, came home painted, decoupaged it and attached different size dowel rods. The ball at the top stays tacky with Aleene's tack it over and over. So I can add more ribbon easily…which is gonna happen! #13 Sewing machine ready to go along with my Quick Kutz and Sizzix #14 This little shelf holds my Prima flowers, misc. bottles, and then all my K & CO stuff. #15 I bought this rolling cart at Target. It houses all my favorite patterned papers organized by manufacturer in their own envelopes. Gotta have all my faves handy at all times! #16 Deal of the century here! I bought this spinning organizer for $5 at a garage sale. It holds all my themed notebooks with embellishment. On the outside pockets I have my alpha stickers along with misc stuff in the corners. It turns out this was invented by the winner of the Apprentice and Staples sold it. #17 Got this sign at CKU-Provo last May and it hangs over my door #18 Another shot of that clipboard I made. I try and display my most current layout before it goes in our albums #19 Cute little scrapbooking fairy my friend gave me #20 My pet peeve is when people see what I do and they say “oh, you must have a lot of time on your hands!” Well, this little sign I made up hangs on the other side of the door. Pretty self explanatory don't you think? Well that's my room! I'll add a part 2 to my room featuring how I organized things in drawers and cabinets maybe tomorrow. BTW, thanks to my DH, Ben and my dad for all their hard work and making all my desires come true! Love ya!
