My CJ topic is “one good deed.” I love all the new product that I was able to finally use out of my stash! LOVE LOVE LOVE the new stamps I got from Fontwerks!!! I got the asher idea on the intro page from my IDOL, Ali Edwards. I cannot wait to get started ladies!

JOURNALING on INTRODUCTION PAGES:

03.14.2005. Welcome! You may have thought this circle journal was going to be something simple and possibly something you could do at the last second…sorry sista, it’s not going to be that easy! I want to really push you. Get out, do one good deed for someone else within the next three weeks of receiving this circle journal.

Let’s face it. You’ve been here before. Maybe you’ve been on the giving end more than the receiving end, and for that, you should count your blessings. You’ve done something special for a person in need many times in the past. Neighbors have babies, you fix them dinner. You pull weeds for an elderly person that cannot do it themselves. You’ve volunteered at the homeless shelter reading books to the little kids that temporarily live there. You’ve stopped and given change to someone on the street that really needs it to eat their next meal. You’ve made a blanket for a newborn baby that has to stay in the hospital a little bit longer than a healthy baby. You’ve secretly dropped off groceries onto the doorstep of a family that just lost their job. Well, I’m asking you to do it again.

I would like to believe that most, if not all of us, are in a position to help others either financially or emotionally. Yes, we are not multi-millionaires (not yet anyway!), but doing one good deed for another doesn’t take a lot of money, and sometimes it takes no money at all. It may cost us twenty dollars or so, but the payoff we receive is worth so much more than that. Doing something for a person in need takes time. I understand that we all lead very busy lifestyles, but I believe it is important to give back and help people in need. We are fortunate to rest our heads each night on a soft pillow, in a warm home. We have many people that love and care for us. We are truly blessed.

I am prepared for the “I really despise Jessi” moments that are going to happen, but really I want you to push yourself to find a few hours to help someone in need. This could be a family member, a total stranger, a good friend, whomever…….and really, if it comes down to it, you may have to lie about it (but I hope you chose not to!!!). I’m giving you the opportunity to do one good deed in the next three weeks and then tell me about your experience.

Enjoy the journey! Reflect on what life is truly about. Go beyond your comfort zone. I promise…you’ll thank me for it.
Jessi
