I was experimenting with making my own decoupage paper today. I took some basic wrapping tissue (the kind that you use to stuff gift bags with) and stamped on it with StazOn. Then, after cutting it out, I arranged it on a wood tray and decoupaged it.

The real trick to this is to use tissue that is going to match the background paint. After I found the color tissue I wanted to use, I took it to the acrylic paints and found the paint that matched it as identically as possible. You can use red tissue, white tissue, light blue tissue, whatever you like.

The long image that you see on the tray was given to me last fall by Lori (whomoi). I treasure it more than ever. TFL!
