I know this isn't really stamping but for some reason they seem to go hand in hand. I just wanted to share since I've been asking question after question about them. This one isn't very altered but I really wanted to keep the look of the cigar box. (My next one will be altered more but I'm waiting on a shipment!) I made the beaded handle because I couldn't find a bamboo one locally and couldn't wait for one in the mail. At first I didn't want my handle to be “limp” but after doing it this way, I like it. I think it might be more comfortable to carry. I then added the wooden toggle closure and an elastic to latch onto it. Inside I used remnants from my Mother's latest sofa recovering. I covered a piece of sturdy cardboard and added a pocket inside for a mirror. Used Scrapworks studs as nailheads since the box and cardboard was thin. The fabric piece holds stuff in in case I would need to open the purse while standing. It comes out a little to make it easier to get into. (Hope that makes sense.) On the bottom of the purse I used 7 Gypsies nailheads as feet. That picture didn't take because my batteries were low. Now I'm trying to debate if I should coat it with polyurethane or maybe Krylon Triple coat. What do you think?
