Journaling Reads :

On the 6th of June 2006 I went into L&D sure that this was it, the big moment that we had all been waiting for. The nurses hooked me up to their machines to start monitoring my contractions and we discovered I wasnt having any. My body had actually made NO progress towards giving birth. The pain that I was experiencing turned out to be my gallbladder. We finally made it back home at 2am and went to sleep. Daddy left for work at 5am and at 6am I was woken by a sudden gush of wetness. My water had broken. I called daddy at work and dropped Caitlin off at the neighbors then I drove myself the mile to the hospital. The nurses once again hooked me up to their monitoring machines and this time there were contractions. I was in labor but not in pain. That sure changed though. Daddy showed up and I progressed and the pain got worse. I got a shot of Stadol to take the edge off but no epidural. I started calling my family to let them know they were about to get a new family member. Almost a full 9 hours after my "real" labor began I gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy! I felt on top of the world, I was so happy! Daddy was such a proud father. He couldnt get enough of you. The doctors put your foot prints on his scrubs.
