Again, better late than never on posting rejects from months ago:) This is DS's second birthday…journaling hidden under large photo, as shown on page 4. Supplies include BG, Colorbok (Sesame Street items…the card on page 2 is the actual party invitation), Sticker Studio license plate alpha stickers, Hero Arts alpha stamps, MM eyelet words and jigsaw alpha, and Pebbles Inc metal embellishment. Journaling reads: Isn’t any great party filled with a few behind-the-scene (or even in-front-of-the-scene) mishaps? Your second birthday was no exception…things were going quite well…I had mixed up (from scratch mind you) three batches of pizza dough already and made the funfetti angel food cake with the marshmallow frosting (ok, that was from a box). Grandma Carol and I went to pick up the Elmo cake from Hy-Vee and on the way out, discovered the sacker had placed it in the sack and cart upside down!! We sent Daddy and Grandpa Dean back out to have the bakery put on a new edge while I called the manager to get a discount for our trouble, and was told if I presented my receipt, would get a full refund. And the cake looked perfect again…we were very lucky the Elmo picture wasn’t disturbed. The second cake mishap occurred because you are taller than we thought! You reached right up on the counter and touched the Elmo cake, not realizing that you were dragging your fingers through the frosting. We all whooped with delight because it was funny, but you thought you were in trouble for making a mess (like Big Dog and Little Dog in the book) and were going to cry. But Mommy convinced you it was ok and to lick all the frosting off, and Daddy was quick enough to catch it all on film! You had tons of fun playing with both sets of grandparents and Dan, Amy, Sydney, Jonah, Lucas, and Gray. Everyone took a turn on the rocking dog (not horse) from Grandpa and Grandma Meyer, your Thomas the Tank Engine book and play mat from Grandpa and Grandma Thieleke quickly became favorites, and the cement truck from Aunt Jill and Uncle Scott was rumbling around the house quite a lot in the next few weeks. But the winner of the party was the Brio train and track set from Dan and Amy…the poor thing needed new batteries already the next day!TFL, Cheri
