Lyrics Challenge - Elton John "Return to Paradise"
I am so happy with this LO...didn't take me long and i didn't put a whole lot into it, but i loved the photo (his cigar hanging out of his mouth makes me smile) and wanted it to be the center of attention....i did this LO of my dad who passed away at age 53..6 years ago. i have never designed a LO, then sat and started crying over it!...This was a true inspirational LO! Thanks for the looking and letting me share.
Journaling reads:
I know he’s in a better place, I remind myself
Of that often. . . This is a photo of my dad on a fishing trip
With his buddies. This photo is one of my favorites of him
Because it shows his true personality! Dad went through
So much in his life with his health and yet, he always
Exhibited a strong, confident, positive, Christian example for me
To look up to. Even when his health took a turn for the worse
He never showed weakness in front of his family and was
Always there for us! At an early age his kidneys failed,
He underwent 2 different transplants, He had a
quadruple bypass on his heart and also had a tracheotomy!
These are just a few and yet through it all, he never gave
Up his Faith in God to lead him through it all and ultimately
Take him to a better place, with no more suffering. I know
He is looking down on us today and is proud of his family.
I wish we had more time together, but I am blessed to have him
As my father as long as I did. Little things still and always will
Remind me of him, things I will forever cherish. He is now
In paradise…. . . No fears, no tears and no pain.
