My mom and me picnicking with the family in the summer of 1952 in Jamaica VT.
For Gallery Inspiration Challenge I was given this sweet lo by Marnel to lift
After trying to replicate her pattern and not being happy with the result I realized that I was trying for the look of an old quilt one might spread out on the ground at a picnic. Lots of distressing, stitching and inking later I got what I was trying to do.
The butterfly and birds were given to me by Michellescraps quite a while ago, I love how they work here.
