Welcome to another week of Project Life inspiration with the Garden Girls! For this week's lesson I was inspired by this thread [twopeasinabucket.com] and this thread [twopeasinabucket.com] on the forum to choose papers and embellishments from a wide variety of manufacturers and collections, since both threads asked questions about how to assemble an eclectic mix of supplies. I started with a color palette + mood board from one of my favorite blogs, The Sweetest Occasion [thesweetestoccasion.com], and used it to select items from several different lines to build my own “kit” of supplies. This is a great method to use for building both Project Life kits and also sets of supplies to use on traditional layouts, and I plan to keep my kit together now that I've scrapped this Project Life spread and see what other layouts I can come up with using the same items. There's also a little bonus tutorial this month! Since so many people asked how I print on journaling cards, I put together a short (just under 7 minutes) video showing how I use a word processor to format my journaling for the smaller cards. My method is loosely based on this blog post by Christine Newman [listgirl.com] and also this post by Liz Tamanaha [paisleepress.com]. Your creative challenge this time around is to use supplies from three or more scrapbooking collections in your layout. It doesn't have to be a Project Life layout, either- any page will do! There's nothing about this method that's specific to Project Life, and I'd love to see your creations using these principles, no matter what the form! You have until March 31st to link up your project (don't forget to check the box for this week's lesson) and be entered to win a $10 gift certificate to the Two Peas shop. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
