I love the wide range of possibilities with this month's Two Peas Garden theme of shapes! You could go in so many directions with this- cutting shapes with a Silhouette or die cutter, hand-cut shapes, pre-packaged die cuts, etc.For my layout, I chose to focus mostly on layering with shapes, since anything that isn't a rectangle is my go-to item for breaking up the straight lines of the paper layers I like to use on my layouts. The layering starts on this layout's background, where I misted using one of the new Studio Calico masks from the Sundrifter collection to create three small fields of white arrows on top of the patterned paper. The next layer up from that is the patterned paper layer, where you'll find some arrow print patterned paper from the Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic collection as well as some chevron print washi. The photos sit on top of the patterned paper layer, and then all of the embellishments are arranged on top to finish things off. You'll find plenty of chevrons (including the stitched ones behind my title) and arrows in this layer, too, along with some stars and hearts for variety. Most of the shapes on my page are chevrons, arrows, or otherwise pointy things, though I made sure to throw in some circles (the buttons, brads, and flair badge), a heart (the Pink Paislee chipboard), and a tiny negative image of a star in the corner of the Polaroid die cut frame.
