A photo of our dd TessaAnn and our Magical horse Prince. Tessa is about 14 here. The lo is about our magical story with Prince. I fell in love with him at first sight, he reminded me of my horse I had when I was 13. We knew nothing about Prince other than he was so beautiful. He could be rode and that seem to be enough for all of us to want him. My journaling tells the story of how we didn't know he was a retired bucking bronck from the rodeo. Prince is no longer with us after a unfixable injured leg. We all have a big wound in our hearts still after many years. He was one of our first horses. I kept the lo simple other than the embossing on the mat and boarder. The journaling is in the matchbook cover I made. Thanks for Looking! Prince
Oh, how magical you were
from the first moment
I saw you in the field
there was a bond. I just
can't explain it. We all
loved you so much. You
didn't trust us at first,
we had to "earn" your trust.
We didn't know you were
a retired bucking bronck
from the rodeo! No wonder
you didn't trust people.
Well, you did learn to
trust and love us. I'm
sure you thought I was
pretty stupid to put you
in 4-H and try to show
you like all the other
horses! You knew it
was stupid but, you
loved & trusted us. You
were such a gental sole
for Tessa out there in
that arena. You may
not of placed but, in our
hearts you were a blue
ribbon winner. Later on
we started to hear stories
about our "Crazy Appaloosa."
We heard you were so Heard"
Bound" that you couldn't
be taken away from other
horses you lived with
without going totally nuts!
We saw the magical side
you showed in times of
danger or emergencies oh
how you could forget all
that and go for help by
yourself. It was so amazing
how we never had to tie up
out camping with the
other horses. You just
stayed right with us and
never left. When it was
time to go you just hopped
right in that trailer by
yourself after the other
horeses were in to go
home. So many people
who knew you before
Couldn't believe all this.
You taught so many men
and women that you were
to strong & mentally
powerful for them no
matter how much horse
knowledge they had.
Time after time we tried
to save them but they
thought we needed
shown how to handle you.
Well in the end we were
not the ones dragged
across the arena or the
parking lot! LOL! We
learned about the 'magic
spirit" of Prince and how
to make you do what need-
ed to be done! Not always
by the book of rules, just
by Love,Trust and Magic!
