Description: Last fall I took a trip with my kids back home to Redmond, Washington to spend some time with family while Chris was busy doing dental school stuff. The leaves were the prettiest colors and just had to be documented. So one Sunday before church I handed my camera to my artistic sister and we ran around posing in the leaves. I was thiiiiis close to hopping in the leaves but decided at the last minute not to soil my sister's clothes! For this layout I opened up a document in Silhouette and added a bunch of leaves. The Silhouette Cameo is a MUST HAVE tool for scrapbooking. You can find virtually any shape for any season, any reason, and any theme. I find myself using my Silhouette over and over (and over and over!). I pulled patterned papers that were fall-colored (browns, yellows, reds) and then added pops of pink to bring out the pink tones of my skirt and in the red leaves. Wooden elements like the 2Peas exclusive frames plus wooden Prima leaves and American Crafts buttons as well as a burlap bow add to the natural look of being outdoors in nature's beauty. Tying a baker's twine bow over the entire length of the layout “ties” it all together! How to: Open a new 12x12“ Silhouette document then place a bunch of leaves on the right 3/4. Try rotating and flipping the images to get more bang for your buck. Die cut the leaves from light kraft cardstock. Punch a bunch of 1” squares from fall-themed patterned papers then place them in rows down the right 3/4 of a scrap piece of paper. Place pop dots on the back of the die cut kraft paper then place it over the patterned paper covered sheet. Add two photos to the left side then embellish with paper leave, a wooden frame, wooden buttons, doily die cuts, and a sticker with journaling on it. Add a few more wooden buttons to the die cut leaves and tuck some gold sequins into the edges for a bit of sparkle. Place a Thickers title and add a burlap and ribbon bow. Tie brown baker's twine around the layout over the right edge of the photos for a finishing touch.Supplies: Cardstock, wooden buttons, bows (burlap, fabric), paper leaves, die cut doilies, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Patterned paper: American Crafts, BasicGrey, Crate Paper, Echo Park Paper Co., Pebbles, Simple Stories, Studio Calico; Gold sequins: Jenni Bowlin Studio; Baker's twine: Lily Bee Design; Stickers: American Crafts (epoxy tree circle, letters), Lily Bee Design (label); Wooden veneer: 2Peas in a Bucket (Polaroid frame), Prima (leaves); Die cut machine: Cameo by Silhouette; Silhouette leaf dies: Design ID #20959, Design ID #20749, Design ID #20750
