January 2013 Tag Swap“Believe…and the magic will snow”1. Stamped girl (Stampotique) on tag for placement. Stamped snowflake cluster (Studio G) with white acrylic paint.2. Covered tag with Distress Stains (Broken China, Wild Honey, Faded Jeans). Oh no, resist action with painted snowflakes not happening as planned! Used Distress Stains (Picket Fence) to tone down and make the tag look more “creamy.” Also used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Patina) to add some shine.3. Plan B: Since snowflakes didn’t pop, stamped 3 different snowflake stamps (Inkadinkadoo maybe?) with Color Box Chalk Ink (Aquamarine, Blue Iris, Tangerine). Background is finished!4. Stamped girl twice – once on a slightly peach toned paper, the other was a peachy-orange patterned paper (both Basic Grey). Fussy cut figure out and attached on top of stamped figure on tag. Paper pierced top and skirt from patterned paper and added.5. To make figure blend in the background more, added Distress Marker (Peeled Paint, Broken China) to the outline and places not cut out. Added Distress Marker (Tattered Rose, Rusty Hinge) to checks and boots. Added Copic Black Spica Glitter Pen to figure to add shimmer. Used sliver gel pen for scissors. Used white gel pen to add highlights.6. Decided that figure needed something else, but what? Antlers of course! Used a tree branch stamp (unknown) to make. Stamped with Memento Ink (London Fog). Too faint, so I outlined in black sharpie & then added shimmer with the glitter pen.7. Stamped sentiment (Stampink) on orange paper (Basic Grey) and cut out each word leaving off the last word (which was flow). Inked edges and attached to card with foam adhesive. Used letter stickers (Basic Grey) for the word “snow” and colored them with glitter pen and highlighted with the white gel pen.8. Punched out snowflakes from 2 different glitter papers and attached to tag. Inked edges and did some doodling. Added ribbon last.9. Back of tag - covered with patterned paper, added a vinyl die cut deer (Tim Holtz Die)& some punched snowflakes.
