Love the pp you used, the curvy strips are great! I think a little inking on the large flower would make it separate from the paper under it. I like the journaling card like it is b/c you matched the pattern so well. Very nice lo!!

This is gorgeous!!! It looks like you did a wonderful job with the photo!! I love the strips on the side and the flower! I think it would be a nice added touch to ink the edges of the flower. Not sure about the journal note--cuz it looks like you were lining it up to match the pattern and make it 'hiddenish'. Which is cool It looks great already!
Its funny how we all think alike, I was just about to post sometihng about the journaling card. Overall I think it is a beautiful LO, Love the patterned paper you used. Great work!
I think the photo editing you did is great. I don't really notice anything wrong with the pic. Like how you added your g'parents' names to the photo too. I think you're right about the journaling flip. My suggestion would be to mat it with the lime green you used on the side, a dark orange or even the black. Inking would be good, too. The overall design of this LO is terrific. I really like it!
This is the 1st page I've done for my BOM. This is the only pic I have of my grandparents and it is in terrible shape with creases, tears & scratches all over it and a big brown stain in the middle. This was my 1st attempt at trying to fix a picture with this kind of damage. Hopefully I'll get better in time.
Sorry the pic is a little blurry, my scanner doesn't like anything lumpy. There are little red rhinestones at the top left pic and bottom right of the page, the scan sort of made it look like red blotches. LOL
I was wondering if I should outline the flowers or the journaling flip up? I figured I'd get some suggestions before doing it! :)
Journaling says: This picture is of my maternal grandparents taken in 1964. I've always loved this picture. I snuck it from my mom when I was very little. It's the only picture I can really remember of my grandfather. He passed away when I was about 4 years old. I was fortunate enough to have been able to spend time with my grand- mother untill I was 15 years old. She had been blind since my mom was a teenager. She had the best sense of humor about everything. I remember the Cocaine Jar she kept filled with flour. She would just smile whenever she heard someone lift the lid just to see what was in it. And the "I bet you can't" beer stein that sat in the corner. She played the piano beautifully and wanted to teach me. I wish I had taken her up on that offer. I loved it when she played Alley Cat. I miss spending afternoons with her and I wish I could have known grandpa. I believe they are still with me. And when I think about grandma smiling and laughing, it always fills my Heart Button.
