<p><FONT FACE=“Arial” FONT SIZE=“2”>JOURNALING : I first got my necklace back when I was in college. Larry Hoganson, a friend of the family was stationed in Thailand and had this necklace made for me. I absolutely LOVED it. Your Grandma and Grandpa gave it to me for my birthday that year and I have worn it ever since. I never take it off.<br>After you were born, I asked Larry if there was any way he could get me another necklace with your name on it. He told me that more than likely he wouldn’t be able to since they now live here in the states. Needless to say, your first Christmas you received your necklace! Right now I am wearing your necklace along with mine until you are old enough to have it.<br>Larry told me the story of how your necklace got you us. After his friend picked up the necklace at a little shop in Baghdad, they started heading away in their jeep. A few minutes later they heard a large explosion and turned around to see the shop in flames. A bomb had hit and the store and it was no longer there. While heading to the airport to return to the states the vehicle behind them was blown up but luckily the vehicle they were in was able to return safely to the states. Shortly after that you received your beautiful 24-karat solid gold necklace.
